Welcome to the Division of Podiatry at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). Our mission is to provide you with high quality, tertiary foot and ankle care in a compassionate environment.
Comprehensive Medical and Surgical Care
The Division of Podiatry at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) provides comprehensive medical and surgical management of the full spectrum of podiatric conditions. BIDMC clinicians in this unique, multidisciplinary program offer exceptional care for the simplest to the most complex foot cases. In addition to primary podiatric care, sports medicine and surgery, the division offers particular expertise in the management of the diabetic, arthritic and dysvascular foot.
Relationship with Joslin Diabetes Center
A longstanding relationship with the renowned Joslin Diabetes Center enhances the patient experience on numerous levels. It allows patients with diabetes easy access to all of the specialists at both institutions, such as diabetologists, nurse educators, podiatrists, endocrinologists, vascular surgeons, cardiologists and ophthalmologists.
Active Research Program
Patient care is also complemented by the medical center’s active research program. Current studies involve exploring pioneering techniques for treating lower extremity vascular complications, growth factors or dressings to promote wound healing, and the effect of neuropathy on the microcirculation of the foot.
Coordinated Care
