Outpatient Rehabilitation Services
Occupational and physical therapy is provided by licensed physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and occupational therapists. We treat patients with a wide variety of problems, from all age groups. We also have interpreters available for patients who do not speak English. Located in BIDMC’s Carl J. Shapiro Clinical Center, our facilities include:
- A therapeutic pool
- Treadmills, recumbent bikes, stairmaster and elliptical trainer
- Strength-training equipment and free weights
- Open exercise area
- Private consultation rooms
- Patient locker and shower facilities
Voice, Speech and Swallowing services are provided by Speech-language pathologists, who work collaboratively with otolaryngologists and radiologists to perform diagnostic procedures and treatment interventions. Services are provided on the West Campus, in the Span building, using state-of-the-art technology and private consultation rooms.
