Managing Non-operative Injuries and Chronic Pain

Orthopaedics has a rheumatologist and nurse practitioner to help in the care of patients with non-operative musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. This team works closely with the surgeon members of the department so that the appropriate medical or surgical care can be provided to all patients. Screening and care of patients with  back pain as part of our  Spine Center is an important component of this division.

Diagnosis and Medical Management

BIDMC's active musculoskeletal medicine program provides diagnosis and medical management for acute, sub-acute and chronic non-surgical musculoskeletal complaints.
