The Travel Medicine & Immunization Clinic at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center specializes in pre-travel itinerary-specific counseling, immunization and prophylactic medications for malarial and diarrheal illnesses.
More Than 20 Years of Experience
As part of the Infectious Disease department, we endeavor to provide the best pre-travel and post-travel care for adult patients (aged 18 & above). With more than 20 years of experience in infectious disease management, our expert doctors and nurses are adept at recommending vaccines that correlate with various destinations as well as keeping travelers informed on their destination's current geo-political conditions.
Vaccinations
We administer vaccines to individuals requiring special considerations as a result of pregnancy, organ transplantation, immuno-compromise and other high-risk medical conditions. We are also able to accommodate those traveling for the purpose of work, study, leisure, re-location or medical tourism.
Professional Interpretive Services
Our clinic is an official yellow fever vaccine center equipped with an on-site diagnostic laboratory and professional interpretation services in languages including:

- Spanish
- Creole
- Vietnamese
- Russian
- Swahili
Insurance Coverage
Although we currently accept many insurance plans including Harvard Pilgrim, Cigna and Blue Cross, we advise that patients call their insurance carriers to clarify that pre-travel immunizations are covered. We also see "self-pay" individuals.
