Russian-American Cardiovascular Institute
Each year, hundreds of Russian-Americans, not only from Boston but from around the world, come to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) to seek care and treatment for their cardiovascular conditions. These patients have sought out our Harvard teaching hospital over the hundreds of other U.S. hospitals with cardiovascular programs because BIDMC has something special for Russian patients - the most sophisticated Harvard-class cardiac care in existence offered by Russian-speaking physicians.
For years, our cardiologists have been caring for the unique needs of Russian patients. Our Russian-speaking cardiologists have created an environment of compassion, warmth, and security for Russians who may otherwise feel lost in an American medical system.

What to expect as a patient of the Russian-American Cardiovascular Institute
As a patient of the RACVI, you will be under the care of one of our three Harvard-affiliated, Russian-speaking cardiologists. Based on your condition, he will guide you through the appropriate cardiology/cardiac surgery specialty programs offered at BIDMC (to learn more about these programs use the left hand navigation). Throughout your span of treatment, your Russian-speaking cardiologist will be there to monitor your care and to communicate with you at any needed time.
Cardiology Second Opinion Program
As a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, BIDMC is committed to providing first-rate care to patients. BIDMC offers a second opinion program for patients with cardiovascular conditions, which ensures that all new cardiology patients are seen within 10 business days of a referral, and all necessary evaluation and testing is performed judiciously.
With Russian-speaking cardiologists on staff, patients can feel confident that they are receiving the highest quality of care. Cardiologists offer a second opinion and discuss the wide variety of treatment options available for individual diagnoses. This team of Russian-speaking cardiologists works closely with you and your primary care physicians to develop the most appropriate treatment plans.
