Signs and Symptoms
The
signs and symptoms of syncope include:
- Blacking out
- Falling for no apparent reason
- Dizziness
- Drowsiness
- Pale skin
- Grogginess
- Fainting, especially after a meal or after exercise
- Feeling unsteady while standing
Syncope is often preceded by other symptoms called
premonitory symptoms, such as:
- Lightheadedness
- Nausea
- Feeling warm
- Cold, clammy sweat
- Palpitations
