Dermatologic Surgery Unit

The Dermatology Surgery Unit focuses on surgical treatment of skin cancers. The most common types of skin cancer, basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma, are best treated with Mohs micrographic surgery. Melanoma and atypical moles are best removed with surgical excision. In addition to treating skin cancers, our Unit also treats a wide variety of benign skin disorders such as cysts and lipomas. We also perform biopsies in complex anatomic units such as the eyelids, lips, genitalia, and nail unit.

Our Unit is located in one of the major teaching hospitals of Harvard Medical School. Our physicians and supporting personnel are highly trained and focused on providing you with the highest quality care possible. We are fortunate to be able to leverage the considerable resources of our academic medical center in the treatment of your surgical needs. Your care is our first priority.
